She passes through a dark night ~ Some time ago, she entered a cave. She knew the journey ahead would require all of her. Deeper into herself she went, collecting flowers and scars along the way. Battles fought Wisdom gained Only you will know the shadows she has seen in the depths of the cave. Distant worlds illuminate her path from above She is a daughter of the earth. She is the earth. She is the cave. The Bear walks beside her as an ally, a protector; though whose to say it isn’t her, perhaps it was how her scars came to be… either way, she has made peace. In the search for her flame, she never stopped moving. She learned how to see in the dark - she started drawing a spiral in the sand, and for each lesson learned… the smaller the spiral became. She enters into a ceremony with herself as she approaches the mouth of the cave. Dawn is near, the sun misses her face. Bird medicine assists her, there is a skeleton of a snake. It has undergone the ultimate transformation into an entirely new form… just as she has, time and time again. She must move intentionally, as the alter objects are carefully placed across her crimson robes; were she to move unconsciously, the altar would scatter into disarray. She has found her flame, & as she comes to know herself, She realizes she is the flame. She Emerges ~

She is one with the fire; she burns with her own light. She is the embodiment of the sacred feminine elements of creativity, sensuality, softness, play; she is an aspect of the feminine force that exists within all of us, in one form or another. Over her arm is draped her soul’s contract, which holds all of the agreements for her experience here on earth it details all known instruction for how she is to proceed forward in this life, accessed intrinsically and instinctually as she expresses herself she looks down at the grand altar of the earth, and contemplates her role in creation This altar, so meticulously crafted by the elements and the traditions of people and spirit, long long ago the bones of our civilization she knows accepting her mission means to live as an expression of her passions and her work is ultimately for the highest healing of the earth, of our beautiful mother. She receives a breath of activation from her guide, and answers her soul’s mission to bring light to the world through the instruments of her creativity– So she reaches for her paint brushes which could very well be song, writing, an instrument; and she prepares to go about her work in this life as an artist.

I still remember the look in her eyes as she stared at the bubbles floating through the air. “Watch this” I said, and took out a long thin wand, dipped it in a soapy solution, and blew bubbles for the kids, who immediately started to jump in circles and see how many they could pop. One of which was a little girl with pigtails and glacier blue eyes. Barely old enough to walk, she stumbled around, braced herself with her hands, then stared up at the bubbles in complete amazement. Her mouth dropped open, her eyes got wide, and I realized in that moment that it didn’t matter if she was on the back patio of a daycare or watching those bubbles float through space, she would have had the exact same expression. My mind was immediately transported to a vision of this little girl sitting in a nebula in space surrounded by stars and planets, watching the bubbles float by just as they had that day. It took me a moment to gather my thoughts (I entered into full artist mode) and when I glanced back down, this blue eyed little girl waddled off, ready to explore the next source of amazement. At the time, this little being had only been on the earth for around 20 months... With just one look, she taught me all I will ever need to know about seeing the wonder in everything.
